THIS week's Tracks of My Years comes from journalism student Neill Cobain.
My Top 10

1. Foo Fighters - Everlong - This is my favourite song of all time and is the best place to start my list. Essentially a love song however with the kicking guitars and loud lyrics you'd never know. Having seen the Foo Fighters at a number of festivals you can see what this song means to fans. Every time they play it thousands of people scream and sing every word.

2. Arcade Fire - Rebellion - This rousing song from the French-Canadian band is never off my ipod. It's a song that has everything from the slow build up of the intro to the finale that will have you jumping around your room. The band are made up of eight musicians all playing a mixture of guitars, drums accordians and even a mandolin. Together they create a unique sound that is a favourite with festival goers all around the world.

3. Doves - Catch the Sun - An under-rated song from an under-rated Manchester band. When I worked in my old part-time job this song was on the CD. It brightened the place up for the three minutes that it was on for. When I went to see them in Belfast however they never played it which was annoying.

4. Stone Roses - I am the Resurrection - One of the most iconic bands of the 90s comes one of the most epic songs ever created. Lasting over eight minutes this song defined a generation. I love it because it essentially comes in two parts. The first being a great song with sing along lyrics and a classy beat. The second part is a mixture of guitar and bass solos that come together brilliantly to create a piece of music that reveals something different every time you play it.

5. Creedance Clear Water Revival - Proud Mary - One of the great American rock bands. While being from California they were influenced by the Swamp blues of the American deep South. This song was made famous by Ike and Tina Turner. However I prefer this version which is slower and a great song for taking a Sunday afternoon drive somewhere.

6. Pixies - Where is My Mind? - I first heard this song when it was played at the end of the film Fight Club. I decided to investigate who it was by and thus my addiction to the Pixies was born. Since then I have bought all of their albums. They inspired many bands such as Nirvana and Radiohead. Thom yorke lead singer of Radiohead once refused to go on stage after he found out he was to play after the Pixies as he said: "There's no way we can follow the Pixies."

7. Ash - Kung Fu - My first concert in the Ulster Hall was Ash when I was 16. It was just before Christmas and you could feel the crowd were up for a party. The atmosphere was electric and something that has been hard to match ever since. I love the fact that a song about the X-Men and Jackie Chan can work so well.

8. Stiff Little Fingers - Alternative Ulster - Fantastic song from a band that inspired thousands all over the world. Coming from Belfast when it did makes it all the more special. When I hear it in a bar I just want to dance like crazy.

9. White Stripes - Fell in love with a Girl -This song just reminds me of school. Its short and gets to the point although don't even start me on the Joss Stone jazz cover that was released a few years later.

10. Metallica - Enter Sandman - I first heard this song when I went to see the Belfast Giants. The song came on, the players came out and the crowd went wild. It all fitted together perfectly so as soon as I went home I downloaded it. To this day it remains a permanent choice on my ipod.
