MICHAELA Gourley from Antrim Grammar School recently completed her work placement at the Antrim Times. This week, she shares with us her Top Ten.
She said: "I would listen to a variety of music, especially a songs which can relate to a memory so my top ten would be quite a mix of different genres."

Like many, Michaela had a hard time choosing her faves. "I wish I could write more because there are a dozen other songs I love. I'm a real music freak," she added.

My Top 10

1. Your Guardian Angel - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - I'm not sure if this song has ever been released, it's one i just came across. It's a real heart-warming song which any one would love to have dedicated to them.

2. Apologize - One Republic - I like this song because of the base beat mixed by Timbaland, with the help of Ryan Tedder's soothing voice it's one of those beats you can just sit back, relax and listen to in peace.

3. Get busy living or get busy dying - Fall Out Boy - I like this song because, in my opinion the lyrics are amazing and I love singing along to this song.

4. Bless The Broken Road - Rascal Flatts - I'm not sure why I love this song so much. I heard it one day and ever since, I've been hooked.

5. What a Feeling - Irene Cara - This song reminds me of my holiday last year when every night I was forced to a karaoke bar almost every night. I unwillingly sang this song, badly I may add, but it was a good song to dance and I have very fond memories of it.

6. Truly Madly Deeply - Savage Garden - I want this as my wedding song for my first dance with my future husband. Again, i feel it's a real heart-warmer with a slow and relaxing rhythm to it.

7. Jimmy Crack Corn - Eminem ft. 50 Cent - This song reminds me of when i was doing my GCSE's because between exams, I would listen to this song with my friend Hayley. I would sing along to it and have a laugh while she would have a giggle at me. The lyrics in it are very funny and catchy and put me at ease before every test.

8. Seize The Day - Avenged Sevenfold - The guitar solo in this song is immense. You have to listen to it at a high volume to really appreciate it . Turn it up to rock!

9. Cryin' - Aerosmith - This would be my favourite Aerosmith song mainly, because I like the video for it and Steven Tyler gives it a certain dramatic edge.

10. Like This - Kelly Rowland - Finally number ten. This song gets me in to dance mood. The base beat is amazing and it's not like other songs Kelly has realised, I would say it's one of her best and it's definitely one of my favourites.
