PLANNERS have agreed to consider amendments to an application to erect 36 residential units at Princes Street in Ballymena.
The proposal by Acorn Homes NI had been issued with a 'refusal' by the Planning Service on the grounds that the development would not respect and safeguard the privacy of adjacent housing and amenity due to its "over massing and overbearing design" and would create an undesirable living environment for prospective and existing neighbouring residents.

The application to erect 36 residential units with associated car parking and landscaping at 2A Princes Street also attracted one letter of objection.

At last Thursday night's meeting between planners and councillors in Ardeevin, Denise Kerr for the Planning Service turned down a request for an office meeting on the proposal but said that amended plans could be looked at if submitted by the applicant within a fortnight.
