BALLYMENA PSNI issued appeals yesterday (Monday) for the public's help in solving two separate crimes which occurred in the town at the weekend.
In one, two windows of a church at Thomas Street in Ballymena were broken.

The incident was discovered around 8.20 pm on Saturday, August 2, and officers would particularly like to hear from a number of young people who were seen playing football in the Church grounds.

Also on Saturday night or early on Sunday morning, a house at Leighinmohr Avenue in Ballymena was broken into and a number of items taken but were later recovered nearby. Anyone who was in the area at the time and can assist police with their investigation is asked to contact them at Ballymena.

Anyone with information on either of the incidents is urged by the PSNI to call them on 0845 600 8000, or contact the ‘Crimestoppers’ charity on freephone 0800 555111.
