MICHELLE Porter certainly has a good reason to raise a glass...
The 21-year-old Ballymena woman has won a UK-wide competition to become a brewmaster for beer giant Budweiser.
Michelle fought off stiff competition from over 1,200 applicants from across the UK in a search by Budweiser for an Apprentice Brewmaster.
She will now travel the world learning the trade from the world renowned Budweiser Brewmasters.
The amazing prize package includes a trip to the Budweiser's flagship brewery in St Louis, Missouri, a visit to Anheuser-Busch's hop farm in the Hallertau region of Germany as well as expert instruction from the world-renowned Budweiser Brewmasters at the Budweiser Stag Brewery.
The finalists were chosen based on their responses to an online brewing quiz and to a question about their passion for beer, Budweiser and the craft of brewing.
Michelle and the other nine finalists went behind the scenes of the brewery and learnt more about the brewing process.
They took part in a series of beer taste challenges and were interviewed by brewmasters who wanted to learn about the finalists' passion for Budweiser and why they should become the Brewmaster's Apprentice.
Speaking before the final, Michelle had said: "I'm really dedicated to becoming the Brewmaster's Apprentice and I know my passion will win through on the day."
She'll certainly drink to that...
