Motorists in Ballymena rubbed the tiredness from their eyes, as they took a second take at a swan standing proudly on the Fairhill Roundabout! Watch video here...
Passers-by and commuters making their way to work stood and stared in disbelief at the Swan which sat contentedly, seemingly oblivious to the danger it was in.

A local counstruction workers stepped into to rescue the bird, guiding it through the traffic and onto the relative safety of the green on the roundabout. And there the swan sat for more than an hour preeening it feathers and relaxing as police stood guard.

It is understood the bird was later captured and taken back to its home in the People's Park.
