SIR - I am trying to establish contact with any relative or interested person who might have some information they can give me relative to Isabella Kelly 1830-1910 (father Hugh Kelly, Cooper of Cullybackey] who married on 19/11/1851 at the parish Churches of Craigs, John Chesney 1829-1907 of Kilcurry (parents were John Glover Chesney of Kilcurry and Hannah McClure]
John and Isabella had three children, Elizabeth and James McClure and David Chesney. The two brothers migrated to Australia in 1888 and remained in that country. David Chesney was my grandfather.

The other person I am trying to find out about is John Chesney's uncle William Chesney of Kilcurry 1790-1871 [parents were Robert Chesney of 'Largy' and Elizabeth Bovill]. William's known wife was Elizabeth [Betty] Robinson. A second probable wife was Peggybell Craig who daughter Peggybell Chesney was born in 1831. It is possible that William also had two sons Robert, born 1822 and died before 1900 and John 1827-1915.

Robert and John both married Barr ladies - Elizabeth and Margaret. It is possible they were sisters.

I would be very appreciative of any information that any of your readers might have on the aforementioned people.

The address to forward any information is: Heather M Harcourt, Via la Rondine 24, Torre del Lago Puccine, LU.55048. Toscana, Italy, email: hmharcourt@tiscali.it

Yours faithfully,

Heather M Harcourt
