The Braid is playing host to a charity fundraiser night of rock music - named Plug In and Play and it will host the cream of local talent. On the bill are So Long Lisa, Sethway, Dropcheck, Peter Gamble and Bueller's Mixtape.

d for the charity Disability Action which is linked to one of the bands playing, Sethway.
It is organised by members from Sethway and Peter Gamble, who are both playing on the night. Michael Wilson, who is the head organiser and a member of Sethway, says: "I am hoping that the Plug in and Play gig will be a sell out. I honestly cannot wait to play it, the thrill you get from playing in front of a live audience is next to nothing I have ever experienced before."
A range of styles and genres will be covered.
The event kicks off with Bueller's Mixtape, who are an indie, alternative, 4 piece band from Ballymena and Newcastle. They fuse together the sound of indie with new age synth, to create a unique and unmissable sound.
Next to hit the stage is Peter Gamble. Peter who is a solo artist most of the time has pulled in a few favours for his performance to produce a live band on stage.
Peter would class himself as a metal artist who just loves to play, and play loud at that.
Recent runners up in the Larne Battle of the Bands, Dropcheck, are following Peter on stage. Dropcheck are hoping to follow on from their success in Larne with another blistering performance to send the crowd into a full scale frenzy.
This four piece has a good reputation around Ballymena, and they are sure to bring a crowd of supporters to the Braid.
On the way next, is Sethway. They are a four piece punk rock band filled with catchy tunes and screaming solos. They too get around, playing in such places as Larne, Lurgan and Newtownards to name a few.
They are sure to set the stage alight and to make the crowd go wild, begging for more. Finally on to the stage is So Long Lisa, again another Ballymena based band, So Long Lisa have a really large following not just here but in Belfast as well.
They are bringing a bit of pop rock to the Braid, which is appeal anyone who listens to it.
The gig is being held on Friday September 5 with the doors opening at 6.15pm. Tickets are £5 and are available from the bands or the Braid Arts Centre.
