Blues Club hits the right notes

THE BT Blues Club once again succeeded in pleasing an audience of around 120 people on Saturday, with the Stonehouse Bues Band belting out blues and classic rock.
The band were joined by a special guest guitar player from Belfast bringing an extra dimension to the blues.

Joe Allen provided support playing a range of old time acoustic delta blues.

Fans flocked from as far away as Ballycastle, Portrush, Belfast and there was even a few from the South of England.

One member of audience commented: “It’s great to see the BT Blues club back to it former glory, I just love the Stonehouse Blues Band, their extensive and varied setlist pays credit to many well known and loved blues legends.”

The BT BLues Club returns on Saturday, September 6, with resident boys from the Stonehouse Blues Band as well as special guests The Mike Wilgar Blues Band.

Mike and his band are no strangers to the club and never fail to please the entusastic fans with harp based blues and classic rock.
