O'Hara's supply top quality homegrown potatoes, which form a central part of many tasty dinner around Ballymena. Their range of vegetables is second to none as as proprietor Seamus O'Hara explains: "What we don't have in stock, we can order for you the next day."

O'Hara's firmly believes in promoting local produce and the majority of the fruit and vegetables sold are grown locally.

Away from the normal, everyday produce, more unusual but increasingly popular stock has been introduced to the shop including Romanesque, a colourful cross between cauliflower and broccoli and Celeriac, an unusual but tasty mix of celery and turnip - again, locally produced.

Also highly recommended by Seamus are French apples, now in stock, while other fruits coming into season are Clementines and more exotic fruit.
