Lost cases cost DE £1.7m

THE Department of Education has forked out nearly £2m after losing six legal cases, the Education Minister John O’Dowd has revealed.
It has defended 14 cases since 2007 - for six of these judgements had not been reached at July 19 - and it had lost four, at a cost of £1,762,000.
